While Reiki is traditionally given through hands-on contact, distance Reiki uses the same healing energy, but it is transmitted remotely, without the need for physical presence. Distance Reiki works based on the understanding that energy is not confined by time or space. Everything is interconnected through energy, and this energy can be sent anywhere, at any time, to facilitate healing.
